Last December 9 at around 7:30 in the evening, we headed for Borongan, Eastern Samar for our completion duty at the Eastern Samar Provincial Hospital(ESPH). The route is UEP to Tacloban, Tacloban to Borongan. We reached Tacloban around past two in the morning and took another mega taxi going to Borongan. From Tacloban, the ride took us four to five hours at the rocky and roughy road. Upon reaching Borongan, we immediately changed our clothes as we are about to start our first day of duty on that same day. Very tiring but we had to accept the fact that is just normal for nursing students like us.We had our duty at their(ESPH) Delivery and Operating Rooms. Lucky for us because we were given the opportunity to really assist the surgeons and other doctors in doing the works. We had to assist them in delivering babies via cesarean section or normal vaginal delivery. At the OR, we had to assist them by giving the instruments they needed. And those things made our stay there very fruitful and very memorable not just to mention the still births we encountered. I don't want to ellaborate them because it is heart-pounding seeing three babies delivered dead consecutively. Huhuhu! Pity for them...
Comes the going-home moment, we were very excited. After all, we enjoyed and had a great experience in Borongan.
We departed there sunday around 1pm and reached back Tacloban at five. Stopover. Shopping. Dinner. And we took our final ride 10pm and reached UEP at around 3am. Sleep for six hours. And visit the web! Hehehe!
(The picture above was supposed to be the print of our t-shirts. Unfortunately, we had no more time for the printing because we were all in a hurry going home!)
